Incoming 6th Grade Orientation (Students Only)-
Join us Monday, Aug 25, 8:45–12:30 for our fun and welcoming WEB Orientation! Led by 8th grade WEB Leaders, this event helps new students feel confident and connected.
What to bring:
- Wear comfortable clothes
- No backpacks or food—lunch is provided
- Come ready to meet new classmates and move!
- Parents: This event is for students only, but we look forward to meeting you at the PTSA Ice Cream Social on 9/5 or Curriculum Night 9/11

Welcome to Odle! We’re thrilled to have you join our community.
Event Details:
- Who: New 7th & 8th grade students and their families
- What: Campus tour, student panel Q&A
- When: Monday, Aug 25, 1:30–3:00
- Where: Odle Library, 502 143rd Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98007
- Why: Get familiar with Odle and meet new friends!
Attendance is optional. If you drop off your student, please pick them up promptly at 3:00—supervision ends at that time.

School Meals (Breakfast & Lunch)-
BSD Nutrition Services provides breakfast and lunch daily. Set up payments via PayPAMS, or pay by check/cash at school. For more information, visit the Nutrition Services page or call (425) 456-4507.
Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application.
Important Note: Unlike the BSD Title I schools, meals are not free at Odle, and qualification for Free & Reduced meals is not always automatic. In cases where families are automatically enrolled, this may not include waiver of eligible school fees. If you think your family will qualify, please contact the front office for help.
We are happy to assist you with the process, but note that qualification for benefits is not retroactive. Please contact the Office Manager, if you have questions.
School Laptops-
- New students & 6th graders will receive BSD laptops during the first week.
- Returning students should bring their laptops on the first day—charged and ready!
Bell Schedule-
Odle’s start and end times are shifting 10 minutes later this year.

Suggested School Supplies-
To start the year, please send your student with:
- Backpack (no wheels; must fit in a locker)
- Personal planner (recommended) – Student planners with 7-periods are recommended. Paper printouts are available in the office if needed.
- Writing utensils and a notebook
- Wait on other items until teachers provide guidance

Register for ParentVUE-
ParentVUE is BSD’s platform for sharing student info with families.
Each year, families must complete the Online Student Verification Process to update emergency contacts, health info, and submit documents.
Health info is only visible to staff who support student wellness.
School Pictures – Tuesday, Sept 9
All students will have their photo taken for their student ID and yearbook—no cost required! Families can preorder portraits here: 2025-26 Odle Middle School Picture Day 9/9.

Curriculum Night – Thursday, Sept 11
Join us for an evening of connection and learning!
- 6:00 PM – Large Group Presentation with admin, counselors & support staff
- 6:40–8:20 PM – Visit your child’s classes to hear about expectations, curriculum, grading, and ways to support their success
Activities, Sports & Clubs-
Odle offers a wide variety of extracurriculars to help students build friendships, explore interests, and stay engaged!

Meeting Times: Most clubs meet 4:05–4:50 PM
Activity Bus: Available at 4:10 PM (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)

- Students must attend Tutorial to participate in clubs/sports or ride the Activity Bus
- Register via FinalForms for all sports, clubs, and field trips
- No physicals required for middle school athletics
- Jubilee REACH uses a separate registration process

FinalForms – Required for Sports, Field Trips, and Activities-
FinalForms is the Bellevue School District’s online system for managing student participation in athletics, field trips, and extracurricular activities. It helps ensure safety, streamline communication, and maintain compliance.
To ensure your student can participate in the 2025–2026 school year, please log in to FinalForms and complete all required documents:
- Returning families: If your account is already active, log in now to review and update your forms. You’ll be able to register for sports and activities as soon as registration opens. Look for the blue registration button to access 2025–2026 forms.
- New to FinalForms? Click here to learn how to get started.
- Note: Physicals are not required for middle school sports.
Important for new users: Each student must activate their account using an invitation sent to their BSD email. New students will be able to enroll after receiving their school-issued laptop and gaining access to their BSD email account.
Bus Routes-
From Sept 2–5, there will be no Tutorial or after-school activities. Buses will depart right after 7th period (approx. 3:35 PM M/T/Th/F, 2:25 PM Wednesdays). All students must ride the bus, walk, or be picked up after school.
Activity Bus service begins Monday, Sept 8.
Key Reminders:
- Bus info will be updated the week of Aug 18
- Keep your contact info current in Synergy ParentVUE to receive updates
- Watch for emails and check the BSD Transportation Website.
- Download the StopFinder app for real-time bus tracking. Click here for more information about StopFinder.
- Students need their bus scan card and route number on Day 1
- Help your child write it down and review their stop location ahead of time

Student Schedules-
Draft schedules will be available soon in StudentVUE and ParentVUE. Final schedules will be set by Sept 2.
- If your student sees a gap in their schedule, counselors are working to fill them by Aug 26
- Please do not email counselors about schedule changes. If there is an issue with the final schedule on the 1st day of school, students may fill out a "Schedule Change Request Form" in the front office
- Schedule changes will only be considered for mistakes or gaps, not elective swaps
- After two weeks, schedule change requests will no longer be accepted
First Day of School – Schedule Pickup
On Sept 2, all students should pick up a paper copy of their final schedule in the Commons (Cafeteria) when they arrive.
Lunch Assignments
- 6th Grade → 1st Lunch (Periods: 4B & 5B)
- 7th & 8th Grade → Assigned 2nd or 3rd Lunch based on their 5th period teacher
Lunch assignments will be shared on the first day.

Our counseling team supports academics, emotional wellness, peer relationships, and more. Students are assigned by last name:

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures-

To keep our students safe and traffic flowing smoothly, please follow these guidelines:
Morning Drop-Off
- Use the east curb lane in the parking lot and pull all the way forward to maximize space.
- This lane is for drop-off only—no parking.
- Look for “PULL FORWARD” signs as reminders.
- School opens at 8:10 AM (Commons & breakfast available).
Hallways open at 8:25 AM. Classes begin at 8:40 AM.
Afternoon Pick-Up
- Pull forward in the curb lane (marked by red arrows on the traffic map).
- Pick-up zones are near the covered shelters labeled O, M, and S.
- Do not leave vehicles unattended in the curb lane.
- Continue pulling forward as cars exit to keep traffic moving.
Safety Reminders
- Do not stop or park in the fire lane (marked crosswalk in front of the main entrance).
- When exiting the curb lane, merge carefully into the thru lane.
- Drivers in the thru lane should yield to merging vehicles.
- Drive slowly and stay patient—congestion is normal during peak times.
After-School Guidelines
- Students must be picked up by 3:40 PM.
- After buses leave, students must be in:
- Tutorial
- Study Zone (Library)
- A supervised activity
- Or waiting in the designated pick-up area
- Students may not remain on campus unsupervised.
Please review the traffic circulation map before the first day of school.
